No more Chip....

Maddux has been through a lot in his little lifetime, & his most recent accomplishment has been fixing his teeth. Due to the thyroid disease it has done some damage to his teeth. He gets cavities a lot faster than usual. He had gotten a chip in his tooth a yr back and we tried getting it fixed but the dentist we saw couldn't help us. So we switched dentists and since then have had excellent service from them & been working towards fixing the problem. A few weeks back we were coming out of the pizza place and maddux got his foot caught in the rug and fell and hit his face right in the pavement. Poor guy. Well because of the already chipped tooth it cut his lip up pretty good and chipped his tooth even more. So when we saw the dentist we decided it was time to fix it for good. Maddy went it two days ago and had two crowns put on his two front teeth. Due to the problems he has he is most likely not going to lose his teeth for a few more yrs so there was no sense in waiting for his big teeth and we didnt want him going to school with chipped ones. He did so amazing in the dentist, it was his first time getting happy gas & shots to numb the area and the procedure only lasted an hr. He did awesome the whole time!!! I am so proud of how far he has come & how brave my little man is. He really is my hero.

Where has time gone.. Summer picure overload!!!!

My goodness it's been a long time since I have posted. Too long. I was doing my spring cleaning the other day, yes I said spring cleaning, lol and we are almost in Aug now but hey it's better late than never, and I thought to myself wow I haven't blogged in so long I think it's about time I updated it. Here at the Carter house things have been good. The weather has been kind enough for us to enjoy the outdoors and play outside most of our spare time and the kids have loved it! Sweet Maddux got a new bike from Dad so he's been scooting around on that, and beautiful Bella is obsessed with water! so we fill up the little pool and she loves being a little water log. This summer so far has been full of all kinds of fun stuff. It started off with lots of visits from family, Cylee, my gorgeous sister came and stayed with us finally!!! I am so thankful I have such an amazing sister to look up to! She is such a good example and I am so glad I got to spend time with her! Even though it was a short trip it was still wonderful to have her! Then we followed it by having Tilden's family come and stay for a few days too! It was so fun to have them come and hang out and the kids loved playing with Carlene's dog Clancy! Thanks again you guys for coming and seeing us!! Your trip was also short but we are thankful you came!! We then had the great opportunity of going and staying with my brother and Jared in Eugene, OR and my parents came and met us there. And their house was amazing!! It was so cozy and just gorgeous!! We had an amazing time. It was great to get out and get off the island since we have all been so cooped up with me not being able to drive still. So thanks again Jake & Jared for the great adventure!!
We also had another fun adventure and traveled to Mt. Baker and found us a camp spot for a few days up in the mountains. It was so beautiful and the weather was hot, we couldn't believe how much of a difference it was just being an hour away from the island and it was so much hotter!! So we sure had lots of fun playing in the lake. We sure miss that good ole lake swimming in Idaho so that was fun!!!
We had our 4th of July here on the Island on the beach. except this year we chose to watch it on a different side!! which was so much better, lol but either way it never fails the weather is always beautiful and super warm the week before and up to the day and the day of it is so cold its almost unbearable... so we watch the fireworks and then leave. But they always have the usual festivities and have the carnival with my favorite, caramel apples, cotten candy, corn dogs! and we rode a few rides with the kids. it was also another great time spending it with Tilden & the kids.
On the days that I am having a hard time with not being able to drive and stuck at home, I need to look back at my blog and remember all the good times & special moments. And especially my amazing family who have been there for me and made this summer such a great time!! I love all of you guys so much and am so thankful for all of you!! Thanks so much Tilden I love you for being so patient with me & working so hard to get your business going and make this summer special! We love you. And I have some pretty amazing kiddos!! They are too cute for words...man what I blessing I have with them. with every giggle & smile it melts my heart. I am going to try my best to keep up on the blog not just to update everyone but mostly for the record of my family and myself...... Now for some pics....

Tulip Festival

Here are just a few of the pics that I got today from the Tulip Festival. It goes on during all of April and there are just fields and fields of all different colors and daffodils. It was deffinelty great to finally get there. I have been talking about going now for 4 yrs and im kicking myself in the butt I didnt go sooner.
