About Us

My family and I currently are stationed on Whidbey Island. In Oak Harbor, Wa. Tilden is in the navy and is ready to get out. haha well in 2011!! But we have a great time being together and learning new things and meeting new people. We have a wonderful lil boy Maddux, who is 4 and have a beautiful baby girl Bella, who is now going on 6 months. They are the world to us. It is the best feeling in the world to wake up every morning with a smiling face or our little boy saying morning mom and daddy. I am so thankful that I am able to stay at home with my kids, thanks to my wonderful husband Tilden. We are hoping to be out of the military by spring of 2010 and heading back to idaho for just a few years and then we will see where our life takes us. I am looking forward to this journey ahead with my beautiful family.

So Proud of You......

It has been awhile since I last posted. Sorry guys I have been extremely busy. But I wanted to start my post off by what has been going on the most lately and who has had the most excitement around here. Little Maddux. We are so proud of you HOney. We started talking to Maddux awhile back and trying to teach him about saving money and working for your money. So he did a few little jobs. Which he didn't really keep on track. His little mind wandered everywhere else. haha But He did earn some money. THen the Easter bunny left him some money in his easter eggs. So by the time we had moved into our new house he was ready to buy this wheelbarrow. He had his eye on this wheelbarrow for a few weeks now. He kept asking "mom do I have enough money for the wheelbarrow now. Do I mom". I would ask him what he wanted to do with the wheelbarrow and he would say he wanted to put some flowers in it and some weeds and then plant the flowers. So when we counted his piggy bank he had 12 dollars and we headed to Kmart to where the Wheelbarrow was. So we had him go get the wheelbarrow and put it in the cart but he didnt want to do that he wanted to push it around. So then we headed outside to find some flowers that he wanted to put in it and plant. He found what he wanted and then we headed to the check out where he had to count out his money and pay the clerk. I helped him of course but it was just so adorable to watch him count the money and pay her. I am so proud of how hard you worked and saved for something you wanted. You are such a smart boy. So of course right when we got home we headed outside to weed and plant his flowers. Once we got out there and the work actually started it wasnt as fun as it sounded he decided. so he just watched me weed and then helped me put a few flowers in the ground. He is so dang cute and so proud of what he paid for. Love you Boo.
We even saved the reciept to show his first purchase at 4 years old.
So excited......
So then we get into the haircut. Maddux has been complaining lately about wanting his hair to be short so I finally decided to cut it myself. Sorry mom I know how you loved those curls but it's what Maddy wanted. and of course he loves it. He especially loves it when daddy does his hair in a mohawk.
So Maddux has always been small for his age. We get asked all the time how old is he. He talks so good. And then we tell them he is going to be 5 and they can't believe it. He has been going to physical therapy for about 2and ahalf years now for a developmental muscle delay. So we knew he had that but just being his mom I knew something else was going on with him. We took him to all kinds of doctors and they all told us he was fine just small. we saw dieticians and meal planning people and he is still small. So finally we had enough and went back to the doctor again and demanded they actually do testing on him to see if he is fine. So we went to Maddigan Army Hospitol, in tacoma wa and he saw a neuro specialist and just from doing some small simple testing he told us something was up. They did an xray of his hand to see the size of his bones and at age 4 they should be progressed and all the plates and everything should be there well his bones are the size of a 1 year 9 month old. We then headed up to the lab to get his blood drawn and do you honestly think that a 4 year old is just going to sit there while you take 8 things of blood. Well mine didn't. so we couldnt do it in the lab we had to go back up to pediatrics where he was just held down. It broke my heart. We left there and headed to our favorite store Cabela's YAY.... Maddy loves the kids toys there. and Looking at all the cool stuff with dad. While we were there I got a call from the doc and he said one of the tests came back positive for a thyroid disfunction. so before they do medicine they have to get all the tests back and we have to see more doctors. well they also want to do an MRI because there is a slight possibilty that it could be a tumor on his adrenel gland. im not sure how to spell all that medical stuff so bear with me. anyway im taken that as the worst case scenario. I am hoping and praying it is only thyroid. So for now we are just waiting for more apts. I will keep updating often about this.
We had a great time at Cabelas. Maddux got a new truck set for being so great at the doctors and we all just had fun being together and having fun.
Other than a ton of apts and moving I think we are adjusting and getting back on track. We all love the new house. an exta room is always needed. And Maddux and Bella are getting along great. Maddux is such a great big brother. He is always wanting to play with his sissy. He loves to roll things to her cuz she is learning how to roll them back so now he is starting to acutally have fun with her. The other day Tilden and I were telling Bella to say momma and dadda the usual baby talk and Maddux jumped in and said Bella say Maaadddddyyyy. It was hilarious. Maddux just has to look at Bella and her face lights up. I am so blessed I have such a great loving family.
Playing with a bear hat. silly man
Pretty fish in the tanks at Cabela's.
